Gedonia - Open World Classic Game

     Gedonia is an old-school classics type open-world roleplaying game. Grdonia is Hugh world. Become an easy traveler and adventure seeker, explore the of Gedoniaand you'll progress your character any way you would like, discover tons of hidden treasures and mysteries, and fight a vast array of enemies. The vast world of Gedonia is a beautiful place with a lot of unexplored areas, and you are just a simple adventurer, who leaves the home village in the search of a better life. But regardless of which faction will you join, you're beginning to notice strange events happening, which may bring something wrong and really bad to the present world.

     you have Complete freedom of building a character. So you can be a powerful mage, strong warrior, agile Assasin, charismatic leader, skillful crafter, or anything in between. As well as you'll join different factions with their own lore, characters, stories and quests Explore and conquer scary and mysterious dungeons, find rare loot, defeat powerful bosses. Find and recruit unique allies to your party. You have Hunt, gather, craft materials to survive in a harsh wilderness Multiple ways to complete one quest! Use raw strength, charisma, or stealth skills to finish the objectives. Think and play.

Abilities.

     you can manage to add about 70 new abilities to the game, for almost all skill types. It is mostly early-game abilities, requiring skill levels from 1 to 7-8 (out of 15 max). You have only starting playtesting and balancing them in the game, still a long way to go. you can test abilities from a single school, but I think it will be much fun when players start mixing different powers and abilities from different skills and making cool combos.

Items.

     Armor, weapons, potions, scrolls, crafting ingredients, etc. much to show here yet, A lot of RPG’s kinda “shower” players with loot, drowning them in hundreds of different items, and it becomes really tedious after awhile in your opinion. So you can try to use a different approach, where it’s not many items in the game, and you rarely get a new item, but each one is unique and impactful. All of the items are handcrafted and in fixed locations smoothly, so, for example, you can discover a powerful staff hidden in one of the chests in the world, and in the next playthrough, you can get to it early and get yourself a huge increase in power. it is probably not balanced. There are hidden chests throughout the map, and to make a loot in each one very important and impactful to reward people exploring the map.

Role-playing, stats and freedom

     Do you huge fan of RPGs and MMORPGs, especially old school ones? One of the most reasons I really like games like Fallout 1 and a couple of, Arcanum, or TES games, is that the complete freedom of creating a singular character, and a singular feel each playthrough with this character brings to the game. It's amazing. On the other hand, I also love the flow and feel of combat mechanics of such games as World of Warcraft and KOTOR. Gedonia is essentially a mix of all the things I like from these games, which I hope to be well-liked by you guys.

So what’re the systems of Gedonia will be like?

     First of all, you’ve got your main stats. Those are similar to the SPECIAL system from fallout and will influence your play style in a major way. You’ve got pretty self-explanatory stuff like strength, agility, stamina, intellect, and charisma. You can either be great at something and bad at something else, or be mediocre at everything. I think like in a lot of modern RPGs you can’t be truly bad at something, for example in Skyrim, even if you are a character of a warrior, you can still cast a little magic and sneak a little or craft something. but Gedonia is different. If you are a brute, with huge strength and stamina stats, you won’t be able to even use magic or sneak. Second, you have skills that you will be able to improve, upgrade with each level. These range from weapon skills to magic, crafting, and speech. Here you have a complete freedom of improving whatever you want, and learning different abilities. This part of the game-rich and varied. A skill of using swords for example not only will improve your damage numbers but will also allow you to learn a huge number of different attack moves. You have abilities that would require a couple of different skills to use, for example, if you are good at elemental magic and swords, you will be able to learn a capability which will set your blade ablaze and deal additional fire damage to every attack. Or an ability that would require skills in speech and holy magic, which will start a prayer, dealing damage to all undead near. Assign a perk that will make him steal health with melee attacks, perk that will make him weaker during the daytime, stronger during nighttime, and the perk that will decrease his natural health regeneration. Yeh, it is a vampire. These are still on the concept of new game updates.
