Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) Review

Wonder Women 1984

We hear both good and bad about 'Wonder Woman 84'. The film is being released by Vaughn Brothers to the audience as well as online without thinking about the revenue. Even if the Warnabrets lose a significant amount of their income from downloading, they are more likely to make at least a few movie-goers' profits.

Where did 'Wonda Woman 84' go wrong? I think the film got lost while trying to satisfy the same trending topic of women empowerment. I remember the first film was the feminist hype about Wonder Woman among the women in June 2017. It's very similar to the way the African American community behaved when it came to the Black Panthers. People get drunk and go crazy when they go to see more than two topics called Wiming Empowerment and Feminism. That's what happened to Wonda Woman.

It seems that 'Wonda Woman 84' has failed to establish a villain for the story. Cheetah is one of Wonda Woman's main villains in comics. Like 'Lex Lot to Superman' and 'Joke to Batman'. But here the cheetah gets less screen time. Maxwell, the main villain in the story, has direct contact with Lord Wonder Woman only during the fight at the White House. It's also a scene where the guy misses Diana. In the Cairo chase scene and finally, the scene where they broadcast themselves to the world, the hero and villain fight between the two, that is, the boss fight does not take place. Finally, Maxwell Load feels like another version of Jim Carrey's role in 'Bruce Almighty'. I mean, if you think the main villain is Maxwell Lord. Boss thought the fight was with Cheetah, but I still think it was not enough to get work from Cheetah. Eventually, Cheetah returns to Barbara, but beyond that, it doesn't show what happened to him. It could have been more work as highlighted from Astoria's Golden Arm 'first trailer of one film'. The origin of Dreamstone, which makes people's only dream come true, was not well described. That too is a kind of shortcoming.

The Wonder Woman flying scenes are beautifully taken. But the problem here is that Diana does not fly in 'Batman v Superman' or 'Justice League'. Then the one who could fly at 84 is not flying now. There is such a continuity problem. It's also a problem to show that the lasso that Diana's dropped during the car chase in Cairo is back around her waist. So when we talk about the flaws in our productions, Hollywood misses out.

Throughout 'Wonder Woman 84' I am reminded of the 1978 film 'Superman' and the 2014 film 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'. There is a beautiful scene in the movie Superman holding Lois' hand and Superman flying in the night sky, making Lois feel the red of the fly. Lois begins to think, "Can you read my mind?" One of the iconic scenes in world cinema. The scene with Diana Steve on the Invisible Jet bears a striking resemblance to the scene with Lois Superman. In terms of the music of 'Wonda Woman 84', Hans Sim's score is somewhat similar to that of John Williams, the legendary musician who composed the music for 1978's 'Superman'. Hans Sim was added to the score of 'Amazon Spider-Man 2', so you can hear the similarity of those tracks in the 'Wonda Woman 84' score. The build-up to Christine Wig's Cheetah Carac is very similar to that of Jamie Foxx's electro role in 'Amazon Spide-Man 2'. In it, Max becomes obsessed with Spider-Man and then becomes hostile to Spider-Man and becomes an electro, just as Wonder Woman poisoned Barbara if she wanted to be like Diana and then became hostile to her and became a cheetah. There is also a resemblance to the Spider-Man plot when two villains come and harass.

Diana's sword is missing in this film. It was reportedly removed because it promotes violence. Feeling we have 'Run out of gas' emotionally. I think it's hard to raise the topic of "feminism." Like I said earlier, it seems that everyone went to collect feminism and it was difficult for Wonda Woman to focus on her work. The rise of 'Captain Marvel' was due to the rise of feminism. At the beginning of the film, I was amazed to see Diana's childish outfit in the IMAX scene showing the games at Themiskira.

The main reason for taking 'Wonda Woman 84' forward is Gal Gadget and her beauty. Gal is a woman with the most shapely smile in the world and can easily grab people's attention. I like some of Diana's flying scenes. You can feel the Superman feel there too. Chris Pine and Gal have good chemistry, which is a big reason to keep the story going. I've seen some people leave who's coming in that Mid Credits scene? What makes him special is that he is in 'Supergirl' and what is the connection to this. So it doesn't matter.

Although there were a few places I missed, I was able to enjoy 'Wonda Woman 84'. Hans Sim's score is not as powerful as it used to be, but there are a few places to feel it. The 'Beautiful Lie' track on BvS was also unexpectedly added. Duration could have been reduced a little more like half an hour. In the first film, too, the scene with Diana Steve leaving Themiskira on the night boat is long overdue. However, I always think that the problem with DC is that their character is now too high for them to control. All of those characters have come to the iconic level. Now no matter how much we do, we want to see characters like Superman Batman Wonder Woman who is 100% perfect. So DC always has this risk. From the point of view of animated superhero films, no one else can beat DC. The problem is that there is something missing when it comes to live-action work. Even with the 'Dark Knight Trilogy', the ending is a bit questionable. I think DC will always have to deal with this issue.

The third Wonda Woman is coming too. Directed by Patty Jenkins. I think the third film will do justice to the Cheetah's character as well as the Wonda Woman character as a whole. But the swelling of feminism has to be lessened a bit.
